Recipe: Fajita Marinade

You can buy decent fajita marinade at the grocery store, but this is a fantastic marinade that works great for beef (flank or skirt steak) and chicken.  Trust me, you will love this!

  • 1 c soy sauce
  • 6 Tbs brown sugar
  • 2 Tbs corn syrup
  • 2 Tbs lime juice
  • 1 Tbs canola oil
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp A-1 steak sauce
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • Dash liquid smoke

Combine all ingredients. Makes 1 ½ cups (12 oz).  Marinate beef for 4 – 8 hours and chicken for 2 – 4 hours.  Grill meat whole over hot fire until crust forms on outside.  Let meat rest to continue cooking and re-absorb juices then slice thinly.
